Radial Aluminium Cross Rollers: Aerospace AS9100-D < 400kg

Aluminium Radial Slides have been developed with a unique crossed roller bearing system which make full length contact in the ball race and eradicates soft material/hard ball bearing brinelling problems.Cross roller bearings are best suited to applications like aircraft seating and fire truck drawers, where offset loads and point contact stresses can cause significant indentation in the ball race and subsequent slide failure. Our manufacturing facility in Turin, Italy, is certified to aerospace standard AS9100 D.

The slides are designed to have torsional strength without lateral play and absolutely zero bearing migration. The larger profiles can take considerable loading and with the option of 100 and 120% extension, are rigid enough support drawers/pump carriers to 4000N load capacity. The benefit also being that the slides offer a considerable weight saving to steel but with the inherent rigidity and strength. The rollers are made from chromed bearing steel or full 316L stainless, negating the need to specify expensive, full stainless steel slides. These work well with our non corrosive handles, locks and tilting drawers.

The new AERO 6526 & 5220 Radial Slides are manufactured from aerospace grade 7075 T6 extruded alloy beams, with non-corrosive stainless components. Ideal for wet locker fire trucks, the slides have a unique wiper system to keep dirt out of the raceways and are fitted with heavy duty spring end stops. The Aero slides are used widely in aircraft seating, passing stringent testing to replace heavy steel alternatives. Datasheets are available for download on our main site www.gsfslides.com

Prices are per single slide. Loadings are given per extended pair. There are two slides per pair. Radial Slides are part of our stock programme, however please allow 4-5 weeks for delivery.
